The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has asked to remove the ban on prenatal sex determination, 24-years after the law was implemented. Sex-selective abortion is a worry in India, and the male-female ratio is deteriorating every year. However, the IMA says, the law doesn't really work as there has been no significant change in the sex-ratio in the country and the doctors do not need the burden of the whole process.
