Doctors in MCD-run hospitals call-off indefinite strike after mayor assures of payment

More than 2,000 doctors from the North corporation of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi- controlled hospitals called off an indefinite strike that they had planned over non-payment issues. The strike was called off after the Mayor of North corporation assured the doctors of payment while requesting some time to arrange funds. The Doctors’ Association hoped the "corporation will find permanent solutions of the salary issue.”
