Amid rising concerns over the safety of Bharat Biotech's coronavirus candidate COVAXIN, the firm's chairman Dr. Krishna Ella defended the vaccine. Mr. Ella said he wouldn't mind administrating the shot to his six-year-old grandson. “Our inactivated vaccine will be ideal to give to children aged between 2 and 12. We want to put up a proposal to DCGI and subject expert committees,” the Chief Managing Director of the firm said.
