Dr. Reddy’s Lab announces termination of Avigan Trial Study conducted in Kuwait

Hyderabad-based Dr. Reddy's Laboratories has terminated the Avigan Trial Study conducted in Kuwait. The study was conducted on moderate to severe patients in Kuwait. The company, however, will continue ten Phase-III studies in an ‘outpatient setting on patients with mild to moderate symptoms' in North America. Avigan (favipiravir) drug is an antiviral influenza drug developed by Japan’s FUJIFILM Toyama Chemical.
