Due to water crisis, Chennai metro turned of AC in trains

In the scorching heat of summer, Chennai is suffering from severe water crisis. So, the Chennai metro rail limited (CMRL) has reportedly started to turn of the air-conditioning system to save water consumption. According to the metro officials, they are turning the AC on for just once in every hour to main the 26 degree C temperature. By turning it off, they are reportedly saving 30% of water at every station.
