According to a study published in the journal Nature, Ebola survivors can trigger outbreak several years after getting infected. As per the study, an outbreak can be sparked even 5 years after a person gets infected. The study was led by Alpha Keita, a researcher at the University of Montpellier. According to Keita, the outbreak in Guinea that happened this year was actually triggered by a strain that had lain dormant in a survivor.
