Economic Freedom ranking: India is at 96th place out of 162 nations

In a index compiled by Centre for Civil Society and Canada's Fraser Institute ranking 162 countries on the basis of Economic Freedom, India has moved up two places to 96th rank from last year due an improvement in scores for legal system and property rights, access to sound money, freedom to trade internationally and regulation of credit, labour and business. The index was topped by Hong Kong, followed by Singapore.
