Eighth round of India-China military talks remain inconclusive, militaries told to exercise restraint

The situation between India and China remains tense as the 8th round of military-level talks between the two countries remained largely inconclusive. However, the two sides agreed to withdraw the troops from the forward areas in a phased manner. China agreed to ask its forces to fallback 30 km back from the forward posts while India agreed to move back its troops 15 km after verifying China's withdrawal.
