Elephants get shoes for sore feet in India

For the 1st time, Elephants in India will get shoes. Sore and infected feet of the elephants often cause them trouble, and the Ramnagar forest dept has come up with an easy solution for that- shoes. Since 2018 the Ramnagar forest dept captured 8 Elephants with private individuals that were ill-treated and commercially used. They developed feet infection, and the officials will keep an eye on how effective the shoes are.
