An extended range version of the indigenously developed "Pinaka" rocket system was successfully test fired by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur off the coast of Odisha. As many as 25 122 mm Caliber Enhanced Pinaka Rockets were test fired in quick succession against targets at different ranges. The rocket system has a range of up to 45 kilometers.
