According to a report by an international rights watchdog, the Eritrean refugees in Ethiopia’s northern region of Tigray were detained, raped and killed by the Eritrean soldiers and Tigrayan militias. "The horrific killings, rapes, and looting against Eritrean refugees in Tigray are clear war crimes," said Laetitia Bader, Horn of Africa director at Human Rights Watch. Tigray region is home to tens of thousands of Eritrean refugees.
