Family cremates body of 'dead' Covid patient, he returns home one week later

In a shocking incident, a 75-year-old man from West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district returned home a week after his family cremated his body mistaking him to be dead due to Covid. The man named Shibdas Banerjee was declared dead on November 13 by the Balrampur Basu Hospital staff who handed over his body to the family. However, it was revealed later that the body given to the family was of another patient.
