The Lion Air Boeing 737 Max8 crash in Indonesia in Oct 2018 was linked to a faulty sensor in the plane, which was repaired in a US aircraft maintenance facility just before the unfortunate incident. Investigators from Indonesia & the US examined the repair shop in Florida where the faulty 'angle of attack' sensor was worked on. The sensor sent wrong signals that led to repeated nose-down movements that the pilots couldn't reverse.
