FBI to assist Lebanon in probing Beirut blast

According to a top United States diplomat, the FBI would join a probe of the massive Beirut explosion that killed at least 172 people. The US official urged the authorities in Lebanon to ensure something like this never happens again. U.S. Undersecretary for Political Affairs David visited Beirut and said Lebanon needed "economic and fiscal reforms, an end to dysfunctional governance and to empty promises".
