Fight against fake messages: Grievance Officer for Whatsapp India appointed

Following petitions alleging non-compliance of Indian laws by Whatsapp and mob killings triggered by fake Whatsapp messages, the messaging platform has appointed one Komal Lahiri, who is Whatsapp's senior director for global customer operations and localisation in the US as the 'Grievance Officer for India.' Users will be able to reach out to the support team via a Setting tab in the app or by e-mailing Lahiri.
