IAF added another feather to its cap by successfully testing air to air Astra missile from Sukhoi-30 MKI near the Odisha coast. "The live aerial target was engaged accurately demonstrating the capability of the first indigenous air-to-air missile," said Ministry of Defence in a statement. Defence Minister congratulated both DRDO and the IAF for their efforts. Astra can carry 15kg high-explosive pre-fragmented warhead.
