Food authority finds no evidence of foodborne transmission of Covid-19

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) committee has informed the Lok Sabha that there is no conclusive evidence of coronavirus spreading through food. The committee said food imported into India from Covid-19 affected countries is safe and can be consumed by humans. Minister of State for Health Ashwini Choubey briefed the Lok Sabha about the food authority's report on the foodborne transmission of coronavirus.
