Former finance minister Arun Jaitley passed away. He was 66. He was admitted to AIIMS on August 9 after he complained of breathlessness and restlessness. His health deteriorated day by day and said to be critical and a multidisciplinary team of doctors were supervising his treatment. Jaitley did not contest the 2019 LS election presumably because of his ill-health, but had been an important part in PM Modi's 1st term cabinet.
