Former ISI chief Lt Gen Faiz Hameed could be new chief of Pakistan Army

After playing a key role in the capture of power in Kabul by the notorious Haqqanis, former head of Pakistani ISI, Lt Gen Faiz Hameed is set for another key role in the defense setup. Lt Gen Hameed may succeed Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, as the next Chief of Pakistan Army in 2022, as the latter is set to complete his six-year tenure in November 2022. Hameed is currently serving as the XI Corps Commander.
