Facebook has been slapped with a 30,000 euro fine by a French court for the ‘abusive’ terms-of-use agreements people were forced to accept to continue their social media accounts, the consumer group which filed the lawsuit announced on Wednesday. France's consumer protection agency and the European Commission had earlier secured Facebook's agreement to ‘significantly modify its terms of use’ by the end of June.
