From 2018-2040, patients needing chemotherapy each year will rise by 53%: Study

A study in The Lancet Oncology journal stated that nearly 1.5 crore people would need chemotherapy across the world every year by 2040, and added that about 1 lakh cancer physicians would be needed to treat the increasing number of cancer patients mainly in low and middle-income nations. The study predicted that from 2018-40, the number of patients needing chemotherapy every year would rise by 53% from 9.8 mn to 15 mn.
