General Manoj Naravane takes charge as the new Army Chief

General Manoj Mukund Naravane took over as the Chief of Army Staff on Tuesday as the ex-Chief General Bipin Rawat completed his tenure of 3 years as the Army chief and took over as India's first Chief of Defence Staff(CDS). General Naravane met General Rawat ahead of his appointment who handed him over the charge as the new chief. General Naravane served as the chief of the Eastern Command of the Army before his appointment.
