A group of researchers are working on genetic sampling of Dead sea scrolls to understand the 2,000 years old relics well. They hope that it can even reveal some interesting information about the birth of Christianity. The Dead sea scrolls is a collection of hundreds of Jewish religious texts. Many scholars believe that the scrolls have originated with the reclusive Essenes. These were discovered in 1947.
