Ghana to plant 5 million trees to save depleting forest reserves

In a welcome decision, a mass tree plantation drive has been kicked off in Ghana with an aim to preserve the depleting forest reserves in the country. Over 5 million trees will be planted in the mass plantation drive. The government has launched the "Green Ghana" campaign under which free seedlings will be offered to people from all walks of life. A commemorative tree was planted by President Nana Akufo-Addo in Jubilee House.
