The researchers at NASA have recorded a reduction of as much as 20 percent in the global nitrogen dioxide concentrations. Nitrogen dioxide is one of the major agents polluting the air. This has happened due to the Covid restrictions that are in place since February. The researchers studied data from 46 countries and found that 50 of the 61 analysed cities experienced a 20-50 percent reduction in nitrogen dioxide concentrations.
