Google to train Indian journalists to spot misinformation; pledges $6.5 million to fight COVID-19 fake news globally

Google has pledged $6.5 million to fight against coronavirus fake news worldwide and will provide this fund to fact-checkers and non-profit organizations fighting misinformation around the world. Google has also said that it will provide training to Indian journalists to identify health misinformation. This begins with Google's in-house News Initiative which is a collab with the news industry, especially digital media.
