Government refutes reports saying Tata Sons won Air India bid

Hours after several media organisations including Bloomberg reported that Tata Group has won the bid for Air India, the government rebuffed the claims. "Media reports indicating approval of financial bids by Government of India in the AI disinvestment case are incorrect," the Union Finance Ministry said. The ministry further said in a tweet that "media will be informed of the Government decision as and when it is taken."
