Government releases an additional Rs. 10,000 crore for migrant jobs in third stimulus

In a bid to uplift the oppressed sections and migrant workers in the country amid the coronavirus crisis, the central government has released an additional Rs.10,000 crore in its third stimulus for jobs for migrants. Rs. 39,292 crore has been spent so far in 116 districts under the Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana. The additional fund will be used for the construction of rural houses or water conservation and harvesting.
