Governments are not always right: Supreme Court Judge over CAA protest

Supreme Court Judge Deepak Gupta today expressed his concern over the ongoing CAA protest and the havocs created due to the same. While delivering a lecture on 'Dissent and Democracy' in Delhi he said: If we quell or discourage dissent, it has a chilling effect on democracy. The government is not always correct. We all make mistakes. The government has no right to stifle a protest unless it is turning violent."
