Govt. asks state-banks to ‘name and shame’ defaulters

The government has asked banks to willfully name and shame defaulters by posting their photographs and other details regarding them in newspapers. A letter has been written by the finance minister to all state-run banks that ask the banks to take board approvals for publications of photographs of such defaulters. This move will help the lending institutions to acknowledge and will help them deal with the defaulters.
