Harvard not biased against Asian-Americans, takes in students from rural areas

Under trial for showing bias against Asian-American applicants, Harvard University had to reveal their secretive admission process. Harvard's dean has a special list of applicants related to wealthy donors but they also recruit students from rural areas. On taking in Thang Q. Diep, who was born in Vietnam, Harvard said that he was selected because of "his fun, casual nature, but impressive, understated maturity".
