Rs 11,500 fine imposed on Big Bazaar for charging Rs 18 for a carry bag

Will you pay for a carry bag? Baldev Raj went to the Consumer Redressal Dispute Forum with a complaint. He said he was never told that he would be charged for a bag. Big Bazaar said there was no hidden cost & it was not selling any bags commercially. The customer was informed about the price of the bag & asked whether he wanted a bag or not? The Consumer forum, however, asked the retail chain to pay Rs 11,500 as compensation.
