Health Ministry decides against third phase trial of Russia’s Covid19 vaccine in India

The Union Health Ministry has turned down the proposal of pharma company Dr. Reddy’s laboratories to conduct the third phase trial of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine. The decision comes amid rising concerns of global health experts over the vaccine that has been tested only on a small group of overseas population. The committee formed to take decisions on the vaccine has advised Dr. Reddy's to consider a small trial.
