Healthcare workers in UK begin COVID-19 hydroxychloroquine trial

Healthcare workers in the United Kingdom will begin taking hydroxychloroquine on Thursday as part of a trial to test the drug's efficacy in preventing COVID-19. Over 40,000 healthcare workers from Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America will participate in the 'COPCOV' trial, which is being led by the University of Oxford. Notably, United States President Donald Trump claimed he has been taking the drug.
