Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has stated that the process of making a driver's license will now be computerised. Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was cleared by parliament last month and will be implemented from today. The fine for overspeeding will range between Rs.1000 to Rs 2000. The rule states common offences like use of mobiles, jumping traffic lights and driving on the wrong lane will come under the dangerous driving.
