Lok Sabha: 3,433 URLs blocked in 2019 says IT minister

IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad informed the Lok Sabha in a written reply that the government has blocked 3,433 URLs in 2019. He said the government has the right to block accounts under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000. AIMIM leader Asauddin Owaisi asked the Union Minister about the Pegasus spyware attack to which he said that the government has taken cognizance of the fact and is committed to the Right to Privacy.
