A person from the 3rd gender can be problematic in the legal or judicial system where the law recognizes only 2 genders. Recently, a transgender thief avoided going to jail as she didn't have the paperwork to prove she is a woman and she couldn't be sent to a male prison. She was actually sentenced to 6 months in prison for threatening a shop worker with a claw hammer to steal wine at a Budgens in Brighton.
