Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria hailed the increase in Defence budget outlay amid the coronavirus pandemic, calling it a huge step. "Last year also, additional funds of Rs. 20,000 crores were provided. That helped the emergent procurement plans of the three forces and that really helped us. I think it is adequate for our capability building," the IAF chief said. The defence budget has been hiked by 7.4%.
