IAF strikes a Rs 300 crore deal with Israel to buy more than 100 SPICE Bombs

IAF has signed a deal, under emergency powers, of Rs 300 crore with Israel to purchase more than 100 SPICE 2000 bombs from Israel; which will be delivered in the next 3 months. This is the first military contract to be inked by the new government. Indian Air Force used these SPICE bombs in the Balakot airstrikes targeted at JeM. Israeli defense firm Rafael Advanced Defence Systems manufactures it.
