IATA says almost half of additional passenger flights to come from Asia

IATA said growth in frequency of travelling by air over the next 20 years would be driven in large part by emerging markets of India & China. The frequency of air trips in developed economies will flatten out despite rising living standards. The analysis shows the relationship between avg frequency of air travel & living standards, measured by GDP per capita. IATA represents some 290 airlines comprising 82% of air traffic.
