Responding to the questions over the efficacy of Bharat Biotech's Covaxin and Oxford's Covishield, Balram Bhargava, the chief of the Indian Council for Medical Research said the two vaccines are safer than other vaccines conducting trials. Mr. Bhargava also said that COVAXIN will prove to be better against the new strain of Covid that emerged in UK. He said the country is capable of starting a mass vaccination drive.
