According to IMD data, Delhi tops India's rain deficiency chart in a dismal June during which the city is reeling from its longest heatwave in the last 3 decades. Delhi didn't receive rains from June 1 to 13, thus making it 100% rain-deficient state in the country. Overall, India faces 42% rain deficiency in June, except J&K, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshwadeep with above average rain. IMD expects rain over next few days.
