The Jacinda Ardern-led New Zealand government has introduced a new law that will require banks, insurers and investment managers to prepare a report on the impacts of climate change on their business. New Zealand has become the first country in the world to introduce such a law. Climate change minister James Shaw said the "law will bring climate risks and resilience into the heart of financial and business decision-making.”
