In a major diplomatic setback for China, Pope Francis has admitted in his new book that Uighur Muslims are a 'persecuted' community in China. In his book named “Let Us Dream: The Path to A Better Future", Pope writes: “I think often of persecuted peoples: the Rohingya, the poor Uighurs, the Yazidi." He also says governments should establish a universal basic income in the wake of the novel coronavirus.
