The UK government has become the first government in the world to approve the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid vaccine in the country, paving the way for mass vaccination. According to the officials, the vaccine will be made available “from next week”. The approval was given after "months of rigorous clinical trials and a thorough analysis of the data by experts at the MHRA," a Department of Health and Social Care spokesman said.
