India among the top 10 most targeted nations for Web Attacks

Over 53,000 cyber attacks in 2017 have placed India at the seventh spot in the list of targeted countries for Web Application Attacks, according to a report. Security incidents like phishing, virus and ransomware targeted the rapidly growing financial sector in India and compared to previous year, India has faced 14% more attacks, including a sharp increase in the credential abuse.
