India cut its Poverty Rate by 50% since 1990, maintained 7% growth: World Bank

According to a report by the World Bank, India has managed to bring down its poverty to half since 1990 and achieved a seven-plus growth rate over the last 15 years. The World Bank said that India has managed to continuously develop in most human development outcomes and that has helped the nation in exceeding the growth rate by 7% annually in the past 15 years. India is expected to eliminate extreme poverty within a decade.
