India just behind Japan in 2017 in terms of number of e-Money transactions: RBI

The Reserve Bank of India recently shared the latest report stating that after the demonetization, in November 2016, the percentage of e-Money in India's payment systems has jumped to 21.5% in 2017 from 0.8% in 2012. It further stated that with Rs 3,459 million e-Money transactions, India was only behind Japan & US in 2017 when it came to the number of transactions. Now, low everyday transactions also shifted to e-Money.
