India proposes incentives more than $12 billion for pollution reduction

India has proposed an incentive of worth $12.4 billion to motivate power plants to get equipment for controlling emissions and develop infrastructure for electric vehicles. The aim is to use Rs 835 billion for controlling sulphur emissions from power plants and the remaining amount will be used for the development of EV infrastructure in over 70 cities within over 5 years of time ending 2025.
