India records single day jump of 61,408 coronavirus cases, Recoveries cross 23 lakh

India's COVID-19 tally increased to 31.06 lakh with a single-day spike of 61,408 cases, while the total number of recoveries rose to 23,38,035 pushing the recovery rate to 75.57 percent on Monday, according to the Union Health Ministry data. The death toll due to coronavirus infection climbed to 57,542 with 836 people succumbing to the disease in the last 24 hours as per the Ministry data.
